Middle School students win awards in AMC 8 competition

Three students from Avenues won awards—gold and bronze awards to eighth graders and a silver award to a seventh grader. The AMC 8 competition is a 25-question, 40-minute multiple-choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. Middle School team wins regional competition in Odyssey of the Mind

Avenues Science Teachers Selected to Participate in NASA’s SOFIA

Lizzie Rosenberger, Lower School science teacher, and Mike Maccarone, Upper School science curriculum specialist and teacher, have been selected to participate in Cycle 2 of the Airborne Astronomy Ambassador program of NASA’s SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy).
